Murshid Hayat Inayat-Khan concludes his memories of what he called a ‘fairy-tale’ childhood with three very meaningful sentences from his Father. The previous post n the series is here.
Three ultimate sentences of Murshid
“The Sufi prayers of Saum and Salat are the two wings of the ‘Dove of the Message,” and Khatum is its head, resting on its heart; as illustrated by Murshid’s own personal Sufi emblem, the very special emblem of the Bringer of the Message.”
“The more our Sufi prayers Saum, Salat and Khatum are said all together in perfect unison, sounding as one powerful voice, vibrating into the Universe, that much more shall the Divine Message of Love, Harmony and Beauty spread far and wide.”
“Whenever my loving mureeds shall think of their Murshid, while listening deeply within themselves, they might surely hear a silent voice, which says: ‘Yes, Murshid is always there, hidden as a pearl in the shell of your heart.’”
