as wine is mixed with water;
whatever touches you touches me.
In all the stations of the soul you are I.

    Thank you, Pir Nawab for sharing this additional glimmer of Hallaj’s account of his experience. It seems only a small step from this point to where he spoke the variation that sealed his fate as a martyr.
