In his discourses it is recorded that Shams-i Tabirzi said the following, probably to Mevlana Jelaluddin Rumi, although every seeker may learn from it.

Whatever veils there are, they’re on your side. Whenever there’s a difficulty, complain of yourself: “The difficulty is in me.” God will act with the servant as he acts with Him. Whatever he does, He will do the same. Despite all this, what good things, what pleasures are ahead!
