Tales : I am here

There was once upon a time a man who became disgusted with material life. Therefore he renounced the world, retired to a remote cave, and spent his time in prayer and meditation with the hope that God would someday grant him His darshan.

The man persisted in this path for years without any result, and, deeply wearied, was at the point of giving up, when one day he heard a sublime voice say, “My son, I am here.”

Electrified, the man looked hastily around the cave but it was absolutely empty. Then he became aware that the mouth of the cave was glowing with an unusual light. Going forward, he looked out at the view of the world, and heard again the voice : “My son, I am here.” And the man saw that God had come to him in the form of the world he had renounced.

Thereafter the man left his cave and returned to the world, and finding his Lord everywhere he went, lived the rest of his life in supreme happiness.

If we love God, we see Him without effort. Once a new mother said, “Since met baby was born, the weather has been spectacularly good!” Our love finds the one we love in everything.
