The following is one of the Hadith from the Muslim religion; these ‘traditions’, reporting the words and actions of the Prophet Mohammed, are a valuable form of guidance to the followers of this faith, second in importance only to the Qur’an.
Two of the faithful were sitting in a certain town when a funeral procession passed by them, and they stood up in respect for the dead. When they did so, they were told that the deceased was not a Muslim. In response they said, “A bier came past God’s Messenger, and he stood up. He was told it contained a Jew. He said, ‘Is it not a soul?'”
