Eknath Maharaj (ca. 1533 – 1599 CE) was a Hindu saint, philosopher and poet in Maharashtra. Little is known about his personal life, but he was a disciple of the guru Janardan Swami.
One should hold on to only one feeling –
that God is ours.
One doesn’t have to make any effort;
wherever one goes, one will experience God’s presence.
One can see God everywhere – in meditation,
in the mind, in sleep, in people and plants.
Janardan’s Eknath says:
“Wherever I look, I see God.”
