It happened once upon a time that Mullah Nasruddin was visited by his two married daughters. After all the usual warm greetings, Nasruddin asked them, “What are you and your husband living from?”
One daughter said, “We have planted a whole field of grain. We are praying for rain, because if we get a good crop we will sell it for a good price.”
The other daughter said, “We have been making clay pots. We are praying for sun so they will dry well, and then we can sell them for a good price.”
Nasruddin stroked his beard and said, “I predict that one of you will get what she wants.”
