The following is related in Muslim tradition, that Jesus, the Christ, said: “Let him who thinks that God is slow with His bounty beware! For God might be angry, and open wide to him the bounties of the world.”
And in a Hadith, the Prophet Mohammed said: “It is not poverty that I fear might befall you; rather, I fear the world’s abundance upon you.”

What a poignant reflection, and how different from all that is sold on the ‘spiritual’ market place now days, where mindfulness is used to focus on ‘materialization’ of our desires and on abundance.
