Baba Farid : Wear whatever clothes you must

Sheikh Fariduddin Masud (1173 – 1266 CE), commonly called Baba Farid Ganjeshakar, was a famous Sufi of the Punjab. For more about him, see this earlier post.

O Farid,
rend your silken veil
and put on a rough, woolen mantle;
wear whatever clothes you must
to meet the Beloved.
