A recent post showed the damage to trees in the compound of Dargah Sufi Hazrat Inayat Khan, caused by a brief but very violent storm. Now it has been possible to begin cleaning the fallen trees and branches, and assess some of the effects on the infrastructure. Videos below should some of this work – the first shows the beginning of the cleanup of the tamarind tree in the lower court, and the second is of similar work outside of our compound, in the neighbourhood.
Extra funds are needed to complete the clearing, which must be done by outside workers, and to repair the lost tiles, cracked windows and other structural damage. All support would be most welcome.
The Stichting Dargah will be making an exceptional donation for this cause, and has agreed to assemble and pass on donations from groups and individuals around the world who wish to help. If you want to donate from within the European banking system, please use the following information, and mark your transfer ‘Dargah Emergency’.

Friends of Hazrat Inayat Khan might also think of committing themselves to regular donations to the Dargah. The Dargah always works with the thinnest of budgets, and the loss of visitors because of the pandemic has made the situation more difficult.
