Jusammi Chikako was a woman who lived in 14th c. Japan, and presumably wrote from a Zen Buddhist point of view, but little else seems to be known about her.
On this summer night
All the household lies asleep,
And in the doorway,
For once open after dark,
Stands the moon, brilliant, cloudless.
